better quality. Robert Gaston, founder
and President, and Jennifer Schellenbach, Vice-President ensure that all
of our products receive the same attention to detail and quality. Our products are
hand-poured and colored in our studio in Fruita,
Colorado, U.S.A., centered right in the heart of the American Southwest's Dinosaur
Triangle! We sell directly to the
public as well as through museum gift shops throughout the United States.
The quality and realism of our collection appeals to people of all ages
and interests, from educators and paleontologists to collectors and
serious dinosaur enthusiasts (as well as their parents and kids!). |

Our Collection All items on this website have been selected for their excellent preservation, their quality as type examples, and their value as teaching specimens or oddities. The original fossils from which our casts were obtained from the collections of the Museum of Western Colorado, in Grand Junction, Colorado, the Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, the College of Eastern Utah Prehistoric Museum in Price, Utah, the Mesa Southwest Museum in Mesa, Arizona, the Wyoming Dinosaur Center in Thermopolis, Wyoming, the DinosaurAH!torium in St. George, Utah, and from private collectors. A percentage of the proceeds from our cast sales is donated to the institutions that provide the fossils for casting to help fund the uncovering, housing, and study of the original fossils and to support continuing paleontology research. All items are hand-cast in durable resin and colored to achieve the highest degree of accuracy in replicating the original. We also use multiple color layers, resulting in unsurpassed realism. Each item is hand colored, so colors may vary. Most of our replicas are exact replicas of actual fossils, though a few do have some restoration. Gaston Design, Inc. sells only fossil replicas. All items on our website and offered for sale are replicas; we do not deal in actual fossil material.
